Venice, Italy

They kicked us off the ship. Actually, they kicked everyone off as the cruise was officially over this morning. We got ourselves settled in our hotel in Mestre and then took the city bus back over to Venice. We walked and walked. 6 miles in total by afternoon. We spent most of the day in the Dorsoduro quarter of Venice, with a little time spent in the San Marco and Santa Croce quarters. We didn’t do anything special, but had a good time exploring and eating. Tomorrow we leave Italy early in the morning, flying to Madrid and then to Dallas with connection to Tulsa. It’ll be about a 24 hour travel day, but we will be home soon. This has been a wonderful trip that I highly recommend.
