Chiriguano Bay and Brabant Island, Antarctica

No landing today and much more typical Antarctic weather.

We took a zodiac out to see Chiriguano Bay and Brabant Island.

Pock marks on an iceberg from water erosion when this part of the iceberg was under water. 

Weddel seal

Jenner Glacier: named for Edward Jenner, the English physician who developed the initial smallpox vaccine.

Koch Glacier: named for Robert Koch, the German bacteriologist who discovered the bacterium responsible for tuberculosis and established the methods to determine if a microorganism causes a disease.
