This trip is to see Christmas markets and we are starting at Prague. We arrived later in the afternoon, dropped off our bags, and went to the Old Town Square.

Always have to stop to admire the astronomical clock from 1410.

The Christmas market in the Old Town Square is a very busy and popular market, but it wasn’t too crowded tonight.

They have a large Christmas tree in the center of the square. The gothic Church of Our Lady before Týn is in the background.
We had dinner in the square. I find this a fun experience, eating outside watching the crowds.

After dinner we went to a classical music concert in St Nicholas Church in the Old Town. This was great and kept us going in our jet lag. This church is currently a Czechoslovak Hussite Church. In 1945 it was used to house the resistance Radio Prague.

We ended the evening with a trdelník. These are originally Hungarian but are commonly sold as a street food. They are a pastry wrapped over a rod, cooked over coals, and coated in cinnamon sugar.
