Today was a transit day from Cairo to Luxor.

We flew over the new, un-named administrative capital of Egypt. This has been under construction since 2015 and the first governmental meetings were held here in December 2021. This is to become the new governmental and financial capital of Egypt. They hope to have an eventual population of about 6.5 million people here.

As I was finally able to see the Nile from my window, it was interesting to see the clear delineation of desert from Nile fertile area.
