Today was mostly sailing, but we did stop at Melk. This is a small town, but it has a UNESCO Heritage Site abbey. We have seen it before, but it has a beautiful staircase that I wanted to photograph again. Unfortunately, once we arrived I learned that they no longer allow photography inside the abbey. We still got to see it all again.
I do have a few pictures of the outside.

Entrance to the main courtyard. The abbey is still active Benedictine monastery, church, and has a school from 4th-12th grades.

Ceiling near the Imperial Staircase.

View of the town from the abbey.

Outside of the church.
Between the library and the church is a spiral staircase. They used to have it roped off and rushed us past it without mention, but I got a picture of it. This time, no pictures, but we got to go down the staircase.

This is a screenshot of my picture from the previous trip since I don’t have the original with me.
The rest of the day was sailing. Some views along the way.
